Great little piece of military history

This brilliant little book covers the history of Edinburgh Universities Officers Training Corps up to the present day. It is clearly writtten and full of interesting detail about this unit, one of the oldest in Scotland, and builds on its strong sense of identity. It is the perfect gift for former members of the unit past present and future, and will no doubt be bought in droves to be signed by Officer Cadets and staff at farewell events. But it is also of academic value to anyone interested in how Britiain developed its approach to recruiting and training Army officers over a period of more than one hundred years, and how OTCs became part of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

When I was a first year vet student this book was a great resource for my parasitology class. The class just happened to be taught by the author, Dr. Hendrix! The pictures of the parasites, along with their lifecycles made it easier to memorize and understand.

Very useful for Veterinary Technicians/Assistants.

This was a book required for my education as a veterinary technician - it is very useful and provides colored photos, illustrations, and life cycles. It also includes external and internal parasites of small animals, large animals, pocket pets, fish, and avian/non-avian reptiles. This book also goes into zoonosis and public health concerns.

Not as thorough as a book for veterinarians, but I found this book very useful for school and as a study aid.

This book has great pictures and covers all the parasites I ended to learn about in school. The writing it very repetitive though. For example two paragraphs right next to each other will have the exact same information just written in a different order.

Definitely Worth Owning

Gibran is one of my top 5 favorite poets of all time and this was another great addition to the collection. Though not by Gibran himself, this a brief biography and collection of works by another author.

I found this book a fascinating history of the life of Gibran. It talks about his early youth in Lebanon, his immigrating to New York and of the writings he did in both English and Lebanese. While I found the book an interesting read, liberally sprinkled with quotes from his works, it was not at all what I expected when I ordered it. The Amazon page implies this is a book written by Gibran, which it is not.

Easy Read

Book was required reading for a construction scheduling course as part of a CE construction management program. Having a background in scheduling (just not construction), this was a very informative and easy read. The author somehow managed to make the topic of scheduling relatively interesting and really drove home the key points. Some good tutorials on MS Project and Primavera as well.

I ordered this book for I class I am currently ...

I ordered this book for I class I am currently taking in school. I am currently using Project '13 at work and at least Project '10 at school. This book is outdated as it only has information on Microsoft Project '07. The other software described in the book are dated as '07 as well. Luckily it turned out we didn't need the book for class and I was able to return it. I gave it two stars because it is almost 8 years outdated.

Very Helpful

I always saw in movies and from the media how people can learn body language to find out what other people are up to but never really got around to learning the details about it myself. Well this book caught my eye, and as I read it, I found out that it really isn’t all that hard to study other people’s body language to see what they are truly up to. It was exciting to learn all these things and I found myself becoming more acquainted with various facts and informations related to the field. A great and fun guide, thumbs up.

Mastering The Body Language

I am obsessed with the show Lie To Me, it gave me an interest in body language and trying to read people. I know the show is fiction, but I believed a lot of what I saw in the show, and I have been googling and reading books on it ever since. I found this book to be a great source of information about everything you could ever want to know about body language. Some of the stuff was common sense, like clenched fists for anger, but a lot of it was totally new to me. This book covered everything from what it means when you blink in different ways, to your other facial expressions, lips, and eyes, and even how things differ depending on different cultures. It had never occurred to me before to consider that body language would be different in different culture's, though now it has been brought to my attention it makes a lot of sense. I was also unaware of the importance of hand language in different countries, and how even a thumbs up can be offensive depending on where you are. This book also covered personal space, and body language using your arms and legs. Mastering The Body Language was a really neat read, if you are at all into this stuff then I highly recommend this book, it is a wealth of knowledge.

Wonderful book

I've enjoyed listening to James MacDonald over the past few years. He just knows how to bring practicality to what the Bible teaches. When I purchased this book I was at a very low point in my life. Sometimes in this hectic world I find that we are all being pulled in different directions. My family was struggling and I knew something had to be done before we completely fell apart. I used some of the practical ideas in this book such as the hand-written letters. Being able to openly express my feelings gave me such a sense of peace and the recipients a sense of appreciation. Being able to reconnect with my family....priceless!

Easy style to follow. Great companion to the daily podcasts.

James MacDonald is a relatively undiscovered treasure of good Bible teaching. I happened to hear James MacDonald on the radio by accident as I was passing through the range of a christian radio station on a trip. I found his website and subscribed to his daily podcasts. Now I have purchased three of his books. His style is biblical, easy to follow, sometimes entertaining, but always practical. "When Life is Hard" was a book that speaks directly to a christian's struggles with life. "10 choices that will change your life" are great messages to keep you on track in your spiritual journey of following Christ. This book is a good biblical reminder of responsibilities and best practices that will fix a family or keep one working well. James is a Bible teacher, not a psychologist, which means you are getting God's advice, not just good advice.

This section begins with an overview of immune-mediated eye disease, summarizing basic immunologic concepts, ocular immune responses and special topics in ocular immunology. Discusses the clinical approach to uveitis and reviews noninfectious (autoimmune) and infectious forms of uveitis, with an expanded section on viral uveitis and new material on infectious and noninfectious scleritis.

Enhanced detection of infectious agents by immunologic and genetic methods and biologic therapeutics are detailed. Also covers endophthalmitis, masquerade syndromes, complications of uveitis and ocular aspects of AIDS.

Upon completion of Section 9, readers should be able to:
