This book is basically a summary of western civ. It does tell about some things that I never knew. I don't find it completely boring, but then I love history so that may be why. At the end of each chapter is a suggested reading list and I think I will be using this later on to learn more on my own about specific things. This was bought for a Western Civ. class.
